The public face of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s Queen Street headquarters, Kaleidoscope is a bar with more than two hundred unique selling points; namely its range of whiskies. With many exclusive SMWS single casks as well as rare expressions, proprietary bottles and flights, plus specially developed whisky cocktails like the 1983 Old Fashioned (whisky with orange and angostura bitters and sugar) and the Bloody Scotsman (Mary’s Scotch cousin) it's a whisky-lover's dream. Primarily a refined, relaxed bar – there is a good range of beer, wine and non-whisky based cocktails

“Whighams is without doubt one of Edinburgh’s gems. The quality of wines and food that they offer has remained unrivalled. The staff are charming, the food is delicious and the selection of wines, spirits and beers is outstanding.
Whighams is steeped in history and was originally the kitchen and wine cellars for a traditional townhouse once occupied by Earl Haig. Over time, the cellars evolved as a wholesale wine merchant, bottling from wooden barrels for many years, supplying wine to Edinburgh’s gentry from the prestigious Charlotte Square in Edinburgh’s New Town.
